Pours a hazy unfiltered orange with a two finger head — tight bubbles, nice lacing. Smells of tropical hops, citra, amarillo, dank and earthy, pilsner malts. Taste is bitterness and dankness forward, resembling Substance – into tropical fruits and a bready malt. Aftertaste has some remaining bitterness, but sort of wanes off into a watery finish. Soft and pillowy mouthfeel, medium body. Really a nice happy medium to a lot of Bissell IPA’s. There’s a little more going on here than Substance, but it’s not quite as hopped up and heavy as some of their Double IPA offerings. Great beer!
